Studio Policies

Annual Registration & Tuition

Annual Registration Fee:

  • $20 annual registration fee per dancer, $35 per family.  Non-refundable due at time of registration

Tuition & Payment Plans:

  • Upon online registration, you will select your tuition payment plan for the full 9 month season.
  • 1st tuition payment is due August 30 for Monthly and Semi-Annual Plans
  • Monthly Tuition Payment Plan: Oct – May, monthly tuition payment due by 10th of the month.
  • Semi annual tuition payment plan, 1st tuition payment due by August 30 and 2nd payment due Jan 16.

Tuition late fees:

  • Monthly tuition plan:  $10 late fee
  • Semi annual tuition plan $20 late fee
  • Parents have 24/7 access to their accounts via the online portal
  • Dancers will not be able to participate in class if their account is delinquent for more than 30 days
  • Credits or make-up classes are not offered if a dancer misses weekly class on their behalf.
  • If a class is cancelled 3 times during the year due to inclement weather a make-up class will be scheduled.  We do not discount or credit monthly tuition due to inclement weather.
  • Dancers are welcome to attend a makeup class of similar class style and age if their class is cancelled due to inclement weather.  A parent must contact the studio at info@dancersinkct.com to arrange this makeup class within 1 week of the inclement weather cancellation of their class.

In Class Policies & Class Attire

Class Attire:

  • See our CLASS ATTIRE page for required dance shoes, tights and class dance attire for our classes.
  • We offer an online store with a class list for each class to ensure your dancer is prepared for our classes.

Class Misbehavior:

  • If a student is misbehaving or being disruptive to the class they will be given 3 warnings. After 3 warnings, the student will be asked to sit in the waiting room and a parent/guardian will be informed.

Class Attendance Policy:

  • Weekly attendance is for the best learning and growth. If a dancer is absent more than 5 times a dancer may be asked to schedule private lessons (at an additional cost) with the teacher to ensure they are prepared for the recital.

Studio Rules

  • Dancer’s should use the bathroom prior to class
  • Do not enter the studios without a teacher
  • No gum or food allowed in the studios
  • No running in the studios
  • No hanging on ballet barres
  • No touching the mirrors
  • Listen and respect the teacher and other dancers in class
  • WATER ONLY, with dancer’s name on bottle
  • All street shoes must be removed upon entering the studios

Waiting Room Rules:

  • Dancers and siblings should be supervised by a parent when in waiting room
  • Dancers in combo I and combo II, we recommend a parent/adult stays in the waiting room during class time or informs the teacher if they will be elsewhere on property 
  • Please pick up your area in the waiting room
  • Dancers must be picked up within 10 mins of their class end time
    • Dancers under the age of 10, a parent should pick up their dancer from the waiting room

Recital & Costume Fees

  • All dancers are encouraged to participate in our annual recital held end of May. We have 2 shows, morning and afternoon, both held on the same day. Each class will perform in only 1 show.
  • If your dancer will not be participating in the recital, email info@dancersinkct.com by December 1 or your account will be charged for the full costume fee.

Recital Fee: 

  • $68.00 recital fee is due for each dancer who participates in recital. Dancers receive a recital finale tshirt and digital link of recital videos (both shows even if they only perform in 1 show).

Recital Costume Fees:

  • Child costume size XSmall – Child Large = $70.00 per costume per class
  • Child costume size Xlarge – Adult Xlarge = $76.00 per costume per class
  • Costume fees are NON REFUNDABLE
  • Costumes will not be ordered if payment is not due in full by due date
    • Late Fees and additional shipping fees will be charged if payment is not received by due date

Payments & Terms

How to submit payment:

  • Dancers Ink offers an online portal that accepts Visa or Mastercard.
  • Cash or check payments may be submitted to the studio prior to the due dates.
  • Credit Cards are required on file for Auto Tuition Payment plan.
  • If payment is not received by cash or check to the studio prior to due date, the credit card on file will be charged the account balance.

Payment Due Dates:

  • All payment due dates are noted in our season calendar and included in the monthly newsletters that is posted to our closed studio page on BAND.  A copy of each current month’s newsletter is posted on the studio waiting room board.

Online Payment Policies – terms and conditions

  • Upon adding a credit card to your online account you will be asked to accept the following terms and conditions:

You acknowledge that you are responsible to make timely payments of  balances due on your Dancers Ink account. You further acknowledge that if payment is not received on or before the due date, you authorize Dancers Ink to initiate electronic payments for any balances due on your account PLUS an administrative late fee of $10.00. Should your card be declined an additional $5 charge will be added. Payments will be processed with the payment method/information via your online account that will be kept on-file with Dancers Ink. E-mail notifications will be sent any time a payment is processed if you have not opted out of e-mail communications. You acknowledge that this authorization will remain in effect until you notify the office in writing that the authorization should be terminated. If for whatever reason, payments cannot be processed with the above payment information and you account balance remains overdue, you understand that your enrollment in classes will be cancelled.

Refund Policies:

  • Dancers Ink does NOT OFFER REFUNDS specifically registration fee refunds, tuition refunds, pro-rated tuition, credit or refunds for class(es) missed due to holiday, vacation, illness, weather, etc, recital costume refunds, competition team fee refunds, competition entry fee refunds, recital fee refunds, or apparel/shoe/tights refunds. If a class is cancelled due to weather, a makeup class may be scheduled by contacting the studio.

Studio Parking

Dancers Ink parking spots are directly in front of our entrance.  The dirt/rock lot may be used for overflow parking.  Please do not park in any spaces in front of other tenants garage bay doors.  We appreciate your cooperation.

Class Cancellation Policies

Postings for class cancellations are made to our Dancers Ink BAND page & website at

  • 3:00 pm for weekday classes 
  • 8:30 am for Saturday classes 

Classes are not necessarily cancelled if Groton Public Schools cancel as conditions may clear by the afternoon. 

Make-up classes: If a class is cancelled due to weather and you would like to schedule a make up, email info@dancersinkct.com to schedule a makeup in a similar class style & level the week following the cancellation. 

Parent Observation Weeks

Parent observation weeks occur 2 times throughout our dance season.  During the last 5 minutes of class, parents are welcome into the studio to observe their dancer in class, take pictures and video record.    For combo classes, parents are invited in half way through class and again at the end to observe both styles.  Curtains to our studios viewing windows will be open this week for parents to observe the remainder of class from the waiting room.
